People

So, I'm finally going to actually add a post to the blog I created. The idea never left, but commitment and thoughts don't always come to me consistently. Today, I've been thinking a lot about people of the world. Particularly people stumbling around on the internet and finding this. I guess the point I'm trying to get at is that whatever force and god you believe in, we're given this one life and all the choices and decisions that come with it. I don't think anyone can truly say that they are completely satisfied with the world. If you can, I suggest walking outside or watching the news. I guess one of the goals I have with this blog is to inspire people. Inspire you to stand up for what you believe in, to go against the norm, to fight the current instead of going with the flow. I want to inspire you to take charge of the world we live on and make it a better place. Global warming? I personally believe it's kinda bullcrap and that the world is going to get warmer on its own anyways. But I do think the amount of pollution we have can be a bit ridiculous. If you agree with this: do something about it! If you want to try to stop war, by all means do what you can. A lot of the things in our world today are stupid, and I don't think many of us know why we even do the stupid things we do. Insults being traded down hallways; when did it become so acceptable? I'm not saying I don't do it, but I would like to break the habit and figure out why so many persist to do it.

Another little segment I wanted to do today, on the same general subject, was to not only stand up for what you believe in, but to overall make the most of your life. Don't spend so much time thinking about the future that you forget about the present. I'm being a little hypocritical about this, as many of my friends tell me that I need to have more fun in my life, but I don't want people wasting away their lives with stupid things they'll regret when they realize it wasn't worth it. Two of my classmates died earlier this year after they went for a joyride. I'm using this as an example to try to show my point that you should get up and have fun in your life, and make the most of what you have, but also take into consideration the risks of everything. A few of my friends got crazy drunk at one of their houses, and they ended up being caught later; they still told me it was well worth it. Personally, I hate alcohol with a burning passion so I won't be doing that, because it puts us on that fine line between reckless and fun. It's dangerous to do stuff like that, even though people may not realize how much it really is. I see drinking on the reckless side, but other people might not. If you're on the side that says no, then I'm going to at least suggest you actually wait until it's legal. There's an age limit for a reason, and until then please just spend your time doing some other crazy thing, like building a giant snow slide off you're roof; dangerous, but sounding very, very fun. This is the end to my second post, and I hope you'll all take a few things from this with you. Anthony out.
